“Natural Forces Within Us Are The True Healers” ~ Hippocrates

It is often possible to reach a high vibration during meditation practice, but how can we live life more consistently at a higher frequency every day? A couple of months ago,we looked at ways to raise our vibration – by coming from love, not fear; practicing gratitude; choosing joy; being around uplifting people; creating sacred space; appreciating beauty; and coming from source. One main reason for wanting to live at a higher vibration is that it makes us feel good! Now let’s explore more ideas to raise our energy.

Am I Being Kind is both the title of a book by Michael J. Chase and a Buddhist principle in practicing meta kindness. Chase states that “asking one simple question can change your life and the world.” All negative emotions dissipate with kindness. It is a question that can be asked several times throughout your day and acts as a check so that you don’t slip into negative feelings or behaviours. For example, even though there is a long line-up at the check-out do you treat the cashier in an unfriendly way or with kindness? Kindness moves us out of self-centredness and selfishness.

However, kindness begins with you as you want to treat yourself kindly first. This means being gentle with yourself and thinking kind and loving thoughts. It means forgiving yourself when you mess up, silencing your critic when it takes over, and loving yourself unconditionally.

When applying this to others we need to refrain from thinking nasty thoughts. Instead of gossiping, speak kindly about others. We also need to extend kindness to our animals, every little critter, and to the Earth. Ram Dass says “Treat everyone you meet like God in drag.” This acknowledges that the divine exists in all but comes in different shapes and forms without our judgment interfering.

In Buddhist loving-kindness meditation, we foster this state with our self, a loved one, a neutral person, and a difficult person. We then do this with all of the above and extend loving kindness to the universe.

Cultivate Resilience

How do you respond when life sends you a curve ball or someone hurts or betrays you? When we are hurt we need to go through an emotional process to heal in order to move forward. The happiest people are those who can bounce back and re-engage in life. Some people can get stuck licking their wounds and proclaim, as the song goes, “I’ll never fall in love again.” This means they are stuck in victimhood – a very dis-empowering state.

Think about the survivors of Hurricane Sandy, the Boston Marathon attack, and the Albertan floods. These are very strong and resilient people! Resilience does not mean that you deny your grief but work through it to heal. You are able to cope with change and adjust. Gregg Braden states that “resilience is a return to healthy functioning after stress and being able to thrive in change.”

Being in the Present Moment

This spiritual concept was extolled in E. Tolle’s book, The Power of Now, and Ram Dass’ book, Be Here Now. It means that we are not living in the past or projecting into the future. We have to deal with our unfinished business to truly live in the present. We only need to watch our pets to learn how to “be here now.” A dog can be fully engaged in the moment in looking out a window to watch the stirrings of nature and wild life.

When we are in the present, we can get lost in the activity that we are involved with just like a child at play. Can you remember the wonderful feeling you had while playing as a child for a whole afternoon that would drift by in a moment? You were 100% absorbed in playing without any distractions. We can also summon this state when we are engrossed in creative endeavours such as writing or painting. Time flies by!

When we are in the present, our minds are still and the incessant inner chatter stops. We don’t think negative thoughts or worry. To get still inside, centre in your heart chakra by touching it with your hand. You can even chant the vowel sound ‘ah’ to support this.

Practice Patience

Patience is a virtue and it is difficult for most to master. It means we are accepting of a person or situation rather than resisting it or becoming frustrated. That’s why we have children and elderly parents! Just contrast the turmoil inside when you are impatient versus accepting of a situation. With the latter, you have a sense of calmness and peace rather than over-reacting and letting your buttons be pushed. When we are impatient we are only hurting ourselves for our vibration drops considerably.

Every day there are countless opportunities to practice patience whether it is a traffic jam, a screaming child, or a person who is not ‘getting it’ as fast as we want them to. We realize that we can’t change people or control certain things at our speed and to our liking. Patience is an act of love and kindness which needs to be practiced for ourselves too.


When there is harmony in the family, workplace, our lives, and internally we feel good. Things seem to tick along accompanied by that ‘all is well’ feeling. There is a sense of flow and being guided by the universe. All parts of the system are working together leading to more synergy.

Internally, there are no wars with one part of our personality fighting with another part. We are being guided by source instead of a misaligned sub-personality or archetype. Hence, we are more loving and treat ourselves and others better. It is important to strive for harmony in order to correct potential conflict that might occur. When we are in conflict, we need to do our best to work out things  instead of insisting who is right or wrong.

Living in a higher vibration lets us reside in higher octave energies and makes us feel so good!

* Stress contributes to addictive behavior, causing alcoholism, eating disorders, nicotine addiction, and workaholic tendencies.
* Stress causes social withdrawal, perpetuating symptoms and leading to destructive isolation.

To avoid stress and related symptoms you must be proactive, nurturing your body and mind through a balanced diet, exercise, and reserved time for relaxation.

Two thousand years ago, the Greeks and Romans used silver containers to hold and protect perishable liquids against harmful organisms. Silver containers were used until the invention of refrigeration to protect food liquids — such as milk — from spoiling. Using silver in the medical setting came into practice about one hundred and fifty years ago as a means to protect against infection. It remained popular against harmful organisms until the advent of antibiotics.

What is Colloidal Silver?

Colloidal silver is a preparation of silver particles in a pure solution. When properly produced, these microscopic silver particles carry a positive ionic charge that makes them effective against harmful organisms. Colloidal silver produced with high voltage technology is the most bioavailable and safest form of silver. Silver products made with low voltage means are lower quality and can be ineffective and even contribute to argyria if consumed in excess. This is why it is so crucial to seek out a high-quality colloidal silver supplement produced with high voltage technology from the purest silver and distilled water available.

How is Silver Harmful to Harmful Organisms?

When positive silver ions encounter harmful anaerobic organisms like single-celled bacteria and fungus, it binds to the cell wall. The silver ions absorb into the organism and, once inside, disrupt cellular function and neutralizes the organism.

The complete mechanism of this action remains to be determined. Silver appears to disrupt energy production within the cell of the bacteria. Additionally, silver may oxidize organisms, disrupt cellular respiration, and affect the enzymes in their environment in a way that makes it impossible for harmful organisms to thrive.

How it affects viruses is somewhat different, possibly oxidizing the virus and reducing its function. Some believe silver directly affects the DNA of the organism. This may deactivate the virus, making it inert and no longer harmful.

How Effective is Colloidal Silver?

A 1978 article published in Science Digest reported on clinical studies supporting silver as a potent killer of 650 live tested organisms. The research showed that silver was even successful against resistant strains. Research performed at UCLA Medical Labs verified these findings, documenting how colloidal silver was effective against a variety of live viruses.

Polish researchers conducted a recent study pitting colloidal silver against several common harmful organisms. The success of these tests relied on a colloidal silver product containing the smallest possible silver particles.

Although many organisms have adapted to resist antibiotics, silver’s cellular disruption continues to remain effective against common damaging compounds. Fortunately, silver is nontoxic and shows no sign of microorganism resistance.

Not All Silver is Created Equal

According to a 1992 Italian study by the Institute of Microbiology, pure electro-colloidal silver worked up to 100 times better than all other forms of silver. Solutions with smaller particle sizes (.005 microns or smaller) allow for a wider distribution of silver particles. The silver particles must also carry a positive electrical charge, as is found in quality preparations of colloidal silver. When choosing a silver solution, the highest quality and purity are necessary for maximum effectiveness and safety.

As with any product you ingest, the higher the quality, the better the results and the less likely the chance of side effects. Colloidal silver produced with high voltage technology does not cause the side effects that can occur with the ingestion of large silver salts or silver particles. Argyria, or the blueing of the skin, can result from ingesting large silver particles. To avoid argyria, it is important that you choose a silver supplement with small silver particles.
