I am talking about clearing our back chakras. You all know what the chakra system is like. They are energy discs situated in a line in the centre of the body. The front part of the chakras is in the front side of the body. And the back of the chakras face the back of our body. The front chakras give us the ability to give, this is what we give to the world and how we perceive the world. The back chakra points is our ability to receive. This is what we receive from the world, how the world perceives us.

I know a lot of Reiki practitioners who have the following issues. Maybe you can identify if you’re facing the same issues.

*Unable to manifest their own goals, but can manifest others’ goals
*Feel less or low energy flow
*Feel tired or drained after a healing
*Feel less spiritually empowered
*Others demand too much of their time, energy or money
* Not feeling satisfaction / compassion after healing others
*Not doing professionally as well as they’d like

If the above are true, then your back chakras could be blocked. This can happen if you are having tough times in your life or if you have not been doing proper chakra clearing. I know a lot of practitioners who just clear the front chakras of their bodies. That is not good enough. We need to be able to receive because we all deserve to receive.

The crown and root chakras do not have a front or back. But the other chakras do have a back. So back of the head is back third eye, back of the neck is back throat, back of the heart is the back heart chakra and so on.

If you find it difficult to reach for the back chakra points or you are simply lazy to do a few extra hand positions, I am enclosing a simple method of clearing your back chakras to start receiving from people and from the universe. This will also balance your giving and receiving side in relationships and at work.

Before starting your chakra clearing, draw a big HSZSN in the air in front of you and say 3 times “connect my back chakras to the front of my body.” You’re connected, now you can easily do your regular chakra clearing, with the front hand positions. All the best !

Cooling tips and simple advice to help ease the discomfort and health problems brought about by rising temperatures. Ways to stay cool...

1. Slow Your Pace - Don't over exert yourself. If you must engage yourself physically, slow your pace and choose the coolest time of day to do so.
2. Stay Indoors - If there is no air-conditioning in the home, avoid the upper floors. Remember, heat naturally rises.
3. Drink Plenty of Water - Avoid dehydrating beverages (caffeinated drinks and alcohol). Iced herbal teas or healthy juice bars can be quite refreshing.
4. Wear White - Choose white or lighter color clothing over black and darker shades that tend to absorb the heat, whereas white reflects the heat.
5. Eat Less - Avoid eating large meals. Eating more frequently with smaller portions will be more easily digested. No need to stress your body further during a heat spell with a sluggish tummy.
6. Rest - Lay down for a few minutes with a refrigerated face mask to refresh your body.
7.Install a De-humidfier in your living quarters. Sticky humidity in the air factors into heat discomfort.

1. Quick Cool Down Remedy - Apply ice packs or cold compresses to your pulse points.


1. Do you still iron your clothes? Set up your ironing board in the basement where it is cooler and have a fan blowing your direction.
2. Although fans do not lower temperatures, they will help circulate stagnant air and do help cool the body by evaporating sweat.
3. Heat exhaustion and possible heatstroke symptoms include mental confusion, rapid pulse and heartbeat, dilated pupils, rapid and shallow breathing, either elevated or lowered blood pressure and unconsciousness.
4. If you must run errands, be sure to take a bottle of water with you or keep a cooler in your car.

Detoxing is a subject of huge importance to us. In fact, performing regular body cleanses and detoxes are a core principle of my beliefs on health and healing. I talk about them so much that I sometimes take it for granted that others already know what I’m talking about. Maybe I should explain myself for the benefit of new readers.

What exactly is a detox? Simply put, a detox is a process in which a person makes lifestyle changes to clear their body of toxins. These lifestyle changes typically involve abstaining from certain harmful things and optimising body processes. Some changes are temporary, such as a following a cleansing diet, others are permanent.

I should also explain my use of the term “toxins”.

Toxins are any substance that can be poisonous or cause negative health effects. “Toxin” refers to all the metals, chemicals, pollutants, artificial food ingredients, pesticides, and poisons that cause the body harm.“Toxin” is a very broad term and it’s even, unfortunately, become a bit of a buzzword to some. Artificially created chemicals can be toxins, but naturally occurring substances can be toxic, too. Arsenic is a natural toxin. Technically, so is cobra venom (though you’re less likely to find this contaminating your town’s water supply).

We are in constant contact with harmful organisms and pollutants. They’re in our water, in our food, in the air we breathe… it’s very difficult to get away from them. The source of many health issues is the toxins that have built up in our bodies over the years.

There is no practical way to protect yourself from all the toxins in the environment. You would have to live the rest of your life in a hermetically sealed suit (and it would be a short life since you couldn’t eat or drink.) Fortunately, there are ways to counteract some toxins and pollutants. Your body’s natural detoxification processes exist to deal with the ones we can’t avoid. You can help your body perform these processes with the help of regular cleansing.

First, let’s understand the natural ability we have to cleanse ourselves.

The Body and Detoxification

I try my best to educate people that the human body has a natural ability to detoxify itself. In fact, the body has several systems in place for removing waste. The excretory system plays the largest role in detoxification. The most obvious job of this system is defecation and urination. The main organs that compose the excretory system are the skin, liver, lungs, large intestine, and kidneys.

I know that you’re a little grossed out thinking of your skin as part of your excretory system, but it’s true — the skin aids in elimination through the sweat glands. The main job of sweat is to regulate the body’s temperature, but it’s a multi functional system. When sweat passes through your sweat glands, it takes toxins with it.

The roles of the other organs are just as important. It’s the liver’s job to filter and excrete waste, hormones, drugs, and other foreign substances. The lungs help remove carbon dioxide (the waste gas resulting from breathing).The large intestine has several important jobs. It absorbs water and remaining nutrients from food. It also converts waste into stool to be expelled from the body through defecation. The kidneys filter the blood and help remove waste from the body through urination.

The entire body relies on this system to live a healthy life. Your body is detoxifying itself all the time, around the clock, 24/7. Even your brain flushes out toxins while you sleep. It’s essential to take care of these organs and allow them to do their job.

6 Ways To Detox Your Body

1. Choose the Right Foods

One of the best things you can do to support your body’s detoxification process is to lighten its load and decrease the toxins you put in your body in the first place. Choose organic vegetables and fruits over fast food and other processed foods. GMO products and pesticide contaminated foods add harmful toxins to your diet. Avoid them like the plague.

2. Exercise and Meditation

Exercise and meditation help maintain a healthy body. Exercising helps you sweat, and sweating helps release toxins through your skin. Studies have found trace amounts of arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury in sweat. Meditation helps you clear your mind and reduce stress. Stress can be as toxic to your health as chemicals. A troubled mind can cause the physical body to function poorly.

3. Diet

Detoxifying your body is not only about what you avoid, but also about what you consume. Following a healthy diet can go a long way. There are also many foods that aid detoxification — garlic, lemon, broccoli sprouts, mung beans, and raw vegetables.

There are many diets that can help cleanse and detoxify your body. I personally follow and recommend a strict raw, organic, vegan diet, but there are other options if this isn’t for you. You could also try:

Raw/alkaline diet is a temporary cleanse consisting of consuming uncooked fruits and vegetables along with raw nuts, seeds, and sprouts. This diet helps detoxify your colon and liver.
Juicing involves drinking fresh juices made from fruits and vegetables. Remember to choose organic to avoid adding toxins to your body.
Kosher or Halal if desired or for reasons of belief

These are just a few of the many diet options.

4. Purify the Air You Breathe

Breathing clean air is another way to reduce your exposure to toxins. While you can’t control the whole environment, presumably you do have some control over your home and work areas.

Proper ventilation is important for a healthy home. Smoke, fumes, pet dander, mould, mildew, and microorganisms can make the air in your home more toxic than the air outside. A high-quality air purification device is the best way to keep your air fresh and toxin-free.

Is a quality air purification device out of your budget? Get a few house plants, they’re nature’s air fresheners. They help filter the air and remove toxins. Space them throughout your house or work space.

5. Purify Your Body With Water

Water is possibly the most valuable tool for detoxifying your body. The body’s most basic functions require water. Your body needs water to produce saliva, help with perspiration, and remove waste.

When I say drink water, I do mean water, not coffee, or sports drinks, or soft drinks. If you’re one of those people that find the taste of water boring, try adding lemon or cucumber to your water.

6. A Complete Body Detox

A complete body detox, such as the 9 Step Body Cleanse, is a step-by-step process that focuses on each organ involved in ridding the body of toxins.
