1) HOW YOUR AURA AFFECTS THOSE AROUND YOU


Your aura is the natural energy field which emanates from your physical form. Every plant and animal has an aura, and each one is as unique as a fingerprint. The aura isn't simply something that exists, however. It serves a purpose. It can protect you and give you insight into those around you.


All told, your aura extends about three feet out from your physical form. When you go through traumatic, emotional, or extremely inspiring experiences, your aura can actually balloon outward up to 20 feet! If you happen to be in a crowd of uplifted people, that's a lot of aura intermingling happening. When your auric field passes by another, they can connect and trade energy.


The energy from your aura may join theirs and vice versa. You get a little bit of their energy and they get some of yours. As a result, some of your emotions rub off on them, and you get some of theirs as well.


As an example, I once had a profound experience with an older homeless woman. While walking home from lunch, leftovers in hand, she asked for a dollar to get some food. I didn't have any cash on me, but I asked if she'd like to have my leftovers. She graciously accepted. As I handed it to her, my whole vibe changed. As I continued walking, all I could think of was the pain of going hungry. All I could think of was how angry I was that this is how America treats its seniors.


Her energy, her experience, joined mine, and her aura actually overtook my energy a bit. From the trauma of life on the streets, her aura likely extended far far outside of three feet. One thing is for sure. You can hide your feelings, but you cannot hide your aura. So when you're out and about, put a smile on your face. Look up at the sky. Be grateful for what you have in life.

2) WHY MANGO IS CALLED THE “KING OF THE FRUITS”


Many nutritionists and health experts call mangos the “king of fruits” due to its numerous health benefits.


Starting from prevention to serious illnesses such as cancer, mangos also help with weight loss, improve the immune system and can be used for several beauty treatments.


Mangos have such diverse taste, making the fresh fruit a fan favorite of so many consumers around the world. As to when and how to consume it, mangos are best eaten when the fruit is ripe.


That is when the efficiency is at the highest levels. However, fresh mangos are also great choice. Here are 10 health benefits of eating mangos every day.


Nutrition and Numbers


Before we delve into the health benefits of eating mango every day, let’s take a look at the nutritional value of the exotic fruit. A recommended dose of mango is one cup, which has around 225 grams.


Here are the nutritional numbers of one cup, with percentages applying to daily values.

Mangos contain high amounts of antioxidants including fisetin, quercetin, isoquercitrin, gallic acid, vastragalin and methygallat. All of the mentioned antioxidants have been part of a research that proves they prevent cancer.


Mangos and its antioxidants prevent from colon cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and leukemia.


Weight Loss


When it comes to weight loss, mango is part almost of every diet. The reason is simple, the exotic fruit contains high number of nutrients, but low amount of calories, making mango extremely health.


All the nutrients in the mango fruit make you feel full, all while the vitamins and minerals boost your metabolism, digestive function, burn additional calories and improve your immune system.


Treating Anemia

Vitamin A is one of the most important ingredients for eye health, reducing inflammation and relieving dryness in the eye. The vitamin also improves the overall health and vision of your eyes.


Tooth and Gum Health


Brushing and flushing is not the only way you can keep your teeth and gum healthy. Mango is a fruit that vastly helps with overall teeth and gum health. You can use mangos for teeth health in two different ways. The first way is to use mango tree bark, and make a gargling mix with it.


This approach reduces tooth decay and bleeding of your gum. The second option is to grind the fruit into a paste. Gently rub the paste into the gums. The second option also reduces the effects of bleeding.


Overall boost for the Immune System


With so many goodies packed in just 225 grams, mangos are considered superfood. Packing vitamin A and C, alongside 25 different types of carotenoids provides your immune system with a healthy injection.


Improves Digestion


Mango contains a number of enzymes, many of which help with breaking down protein. Many people consider papayas the best fruits for breaking down protein, but in reality, mangos are high on the list as well. Alkalizes the Body


Keeping a neutral pH value of your body is one of the keys to healthy living, and mango helps by alkalizing our body. Rich with malic, citric and tartaric acid, mangos provide your body with a great amount of alkali reserves.


Skin Health and Beauty Treatments


If you want your skin to look shiny, clean, and healthy, mango should be part of your daily diet. The fruit can be used for skin health both externally and internally. Mango helps with clogged pores, cleaning them and also eliminating pimples.


For internal usage, simply consume one serving (225 grams) of mango at least every second day. As for external usage, you can slice a piece of the fruit into thin pieces and place on your face. Keep the pieces on your face for at least 10 minutes, and then rinse and wash your face.

3) THE MIGHTY POWER OF QI – AND HOW TO PRESERVE IT

Somebody remarked to me once that living can be dangerous for one’s health. As strange as that might sound, it can be true because living takes a lot of energy and people tend to squander it or use that energy unwisely. I see many people in my clinic who have what I call “qi suckers” attached to them. Qi suckers are negative thoughts like parasites that literally eat up the qi. Fearful thoughts, angry thoughts, negative thoughts, worrying thoughts, etc. There has been enough research for us to know that how we think is how we feel.


According to Chinese medicine theory, fear affects the kidneys and weakens their function of supporting the qi of the whole body, which can lead to a breakdown of the system. Anger blocks the liver’s function of spreading the qi smoothly through the body, which can lead to pain and emotional disorders and negative thoughts – they block the whole system like old oil in a car. Worry, derived from an old Anglo-Saxon word meaning “to choke,” weakens the spleen’s function of transforming and transporting food and nutrients to all parts of the body, causing poor digestion, lethargy, weight gain, and fatigue.

The spleen – in Chinese medicine terms – is the earth from which all nutrients are derived. It is our “centre” and many Chinese medicine practitioners believe that if the spleen is strong the rest of the body will be strong too. Yoga, Pilates, ballroom dancing, skating, singing, and ballet all have to come from this core or centre.


Five-thousand years ago, the ancients understood the importance of balancing the body’s qi, and they also understood the role that emotions play. We continue to refine this art today. Acupuncture “tunes” the body, like an instrument, adjusting the qi so it flows in a way that supports both mind and body. Patients remark that it has the same relaxing effect as a stiff drink. Sometimes a patient will feel the whole body tingling as the needles balance the qi. A patient of mine, who had never had acupuncture before, began to laugh as I inserted the needles. He said he could actually feel his energy shifting inside and that it tickled.


If we thought of qi in terms of money, I think we would all be more careful how we spend it. Everything we do, even blinking, needs qi, and when it runs down or runs out it takes a lot of work to get it back. Fatigue is so common in the people I see. How many of us take our energy for granted? How many of us go from bed to work, and home at the end of the day to look after children, husbands, wives, animals, stuff – without giving a thought to what enables us to do that?


One exercise that is simple to do, and need only take five minutes, is to lie on the back with the legs supported by a cushion. Place a heavy book on the stomach and focus on breathing. Every time the mind wanders, bring the focus back to the book and the speed and quality of your breathing. Is the breathing fast, shallow, irregular? This allows one to become mindful of tightness in the centre, or anxiety. This would be the time to adjust all that and to start the day from a more centered place. In other words, to take control of the qi before it takes control of you!


Another exercise is to sit or lie down and to focus on different parts of the body. For example, the lower part, saying out loud “lower abdomen one,” then “right foot two,” “left foot three,” “lower abdomen four.” Repeat this. Then do it backwards. “Lower abdomen four,” “left foot three,” “right foot two,” “lower abdomen one”. Repeat this. Speaking aloud the part of the body harnesses the mind to keep it from going on its own journey.


It is obvious to me, after years of practice, that emotions play a huge part in both health and illness, and it is essential to find a way to be in control of what goes on in the head. Even the Dalai Lama admits to having to adjust his attitude every day!
