1)FORGIVE THE HURTS

How do we forgive when we’re angry and hurt? As a first step, we can be willing to truly feel our anger and hurt. Honouring our feelings by being fully present with them helps to release the feelings themselves.

And it helps to remember that people only hurt others when they themselves are in pain.

When we can recognize the other person’s suffering, our heart can open in compassion. We can also remember that at some time or another, we too have hurt someone through our own unskilful action.

Only love can heal the rifts caused by a hurtful deed. Forgiveness holds immense power because it mends separation. It moves us towards the unity and love that lie at the core of our being. It is a fundamental part of the healing process.

2) LEARN TO BE AWARE

“You can live a lifetime and, at the end of it, know more about other people than you know about yourself.” -- Beryl Markham

Who am I? To answer this, we must first learn to become more aware of ourselves. To be aware, we must STOP and PAY ATTENTION! We need to STOP and objectively watch ourselves in action.

We live most of our lives by habit. These habits keep us stuck in patterns that limit our experience of life. Once we detect a pattern we were previously unconscious of, we can choose differently, if we want. With awareness comes choice and with choice, we gain freedom.

3) BOOST YOUR IMMUNITY

The immune system protects the body from viruses, bacteria, fungi and other harmful organisms.

Toxins in the environment, in foods, poor diet and stress can also contribute to weakened immune-system. In this case your body is subject to fatigue and illness and can not fight infections.

What can you do?

* Reduce stress
Try relaxation techniques, such as yoga or mediation. Brew up some linden-flower or valerian tea to relieve anxiety and calm down.

*Hot and cold shower
Begin your morning with a warm shower. After a few minutes, step aside and change the water temperature to lukewarm or cold. Place your right leg back in the shower first, than work your way up the body

*Try some natural healing techniques
Oxygen therapy- delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the blood to stimulate the metabolism and fight infection.
Lymph drainage-speeds the impurities and toxins through massage of the lymph vessels.

*Take vitamins
Vitamins such as C and E - known as antioxidants - stimulate immunity and protect against cancer by neutralizing free radicals. Vitamin A also helps strengthen the immune cell. The daily dose for vitamin A is 1,000 RE (1 carrot), 60 mg. for vitamin C (1 orange) and 8-10 mg. for vitamine E (2 tbsp. of vegetable oil).

*Take herbal immune stimulants
Immune cocktail: Put 3 carrots, 1 orange, 1 apple and a half a beet through a juicer. Make a fresh batch every day.
Natural antibacterials: Include freshly grated or chopped garlic, horseradish or onion in your diet to fight harmful bacteria.
Popular immune-system boosting herbal remedies: Echinacea, Siberian ginseng, wild indigo, thuja and chamomile.
Healing inhalation: Enjoy a hot steam bath with mint oil, which kills bacteria on the mucous membranes and stimulates the formation of antibodies.

* Exercise
Deep breathing and fresh air replenish vital oxygen, regular exercise boosts oxygen intake and helps build cardiovascular and immune-system health.

Extra tip: keep the indoor humidity level between 30-50 percent, so that the mucous membranes in the nose do not dry out. This will protect the fine hairs in the nose and act as a barrier to keep germs from penetrating the body.
