1) EXPLORE YOUR FEARS

Marilyn Ferguson In our world of duality, fear and love sit at opposite ends of the continuum. Fear belongs only to the personality because it believes in separation and impermanence. The soul never knows fear because it understands the unity of all. When fear arises, we can invite our soul to sit with our frightened personality. What soul energies are waiting to be acknowledged? Our world is so addicted to productivity that we feel guilty if we’re not doing something. But taking time daily to be still and inactive opens us to the spacious present. It nurtures and restores balance. Give yourself a regular gift of inactivity. 3) THE MEDICINAL PROPERTIES OF ROSE HIPS
The rose hips potential to heal has been know since the Stone Ages. Today, as then, the fruits of the dog rose and other types of wild and shrub roses are mashed into a vitamin rich pulp and consumed raw and cooked. They are also often dried. Rose hips are used to prepare teas, extracts, marmalades, or purees.
Rose hips are prized primarily for their high vitamin C content. They also contain carotenoids (yellow-orange pigments with antioxidant properties), fruit acids and pectin.
Because of the high vitamin C content-which strengthens the immune system, rose hips are often taken to prevent or treat colds. They also have very mild diuretic and astringent properties that may help people with chronic kidney or poor bladder control. The fruit acids and pectin in them can have a slight laxative effect. Finally, the rose hips antibiotic and anty-inflamatory properties make them useful as a disinfectant.
RAW PULP
In a food processor blend the hulls of the freshly picked fruits into a puree and press the pulp through a sieve. It can be eaten raw or used to make rose-hip jelly. Just 1 tablespoon of the pulp more than satisfies the adult recommended dose for vitamin C, which is 60 mg. To store the pulp freeze it in small portions.
ROSE HIP TEA
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over one tablespoon of dried crushed rose hips. Steep it for 10 minutes, than strain. Drink 1 cup 3 times daily. Commercial tea bags are also effective.
